Since April 2024, John Phillips has served as the Director of Product at FORVIA Clarion Electronics in the Americas. In this role, he spearheads initiatives aimed at improving road safety and enhancing driver experiences, focusing on advanced driver perception technologies. His work is vital to the development of in-vehicle displays, such as instrument clusters, center stacks, and heads-up displays, as well as the enhancement of onboard camera image quality. With over two decades of experience in the high-tech B2B sector, John has held key roles in Product Management, Product Marketing, and Engineering. Prior to his current role, he served as the Senior Product Manager of In-Cabin Video Telematics at ORBCOMM from 2022 to 2024. In this role, he led the commercialization of a cutting-edge IoT device designed to detect unsafe driving behaviors, successfully bringing this innovative solution to market. Early in his career he joined March Networks where he quickly advanced through key roles including Software Developer, Sales Engineer, and Product Manager. John is known for his strategic vision, collaborative approach, and deep commitment to driving technological innovation. His leadership style is characterized by a focus on market identification, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategies. John holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Ottawa.
