Joanna Buttler (she/her) is the Head of the Autonomous Technology Group at Daimler Truck. Together with her global team she drives Daimler Truck’s strategy towards unlocking the value of autonomous driving for customers, shareholder and society. This includes vehicle program management, commercialization strategies, future product and markets roadmap as well as overseeing strategic partnerships.   Joanna was born in Spain, grew up in Germany and moved to the US in 2005. This is when she started her journey with Daimler Truck North America as an intern in the product planning team for powertrain components. In 2006 she joined the company full-time as a project manager and from there, held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in marketing, product lifecycle, project management, controlling and as Chief of Staff for Daimler Trucks & Buses. In 2019, she joined the Autonomous Technology group as director of business operations and liaison to Torc Robotics, an independent subsidiary of Daimler Trucks. Evers since she has been passionately pursuing the vision of autonomous driving and its power to enhance everyone’s lives.
