Colin Hughes, Principal Consultant, Rebel Group

Colin Hughes is a Principal Consultant at the Rebel Group advising public and private sector clients on new mobility technologies, with a focus on transit payments, transit technology, and micromobility. Previous to Rebel, Colin spent six years in micromobility policy roles including West Coast Policy Manager for Lyft, Head of Micromobility Policy for Uber, and as General Manager of the world’s first dockless e-bikeshare for JUMP. Colin was also formerly the Director of Policy for the global non-profit Institute for Transportation and Development Policy, worked in infrastructure finance for The Asian Development Bank, and in research and planning for Bay Area Rapid Transit. Colin has a Masters Degree in City Planning from UC-Berkeley, and is based in Oakland, CA.
