Angelo Adams is the President of Zipcar, a car sharing company with a mission to enable simple and responsible urban living—a future filled with more car-sharing members than car owners in major cities across the globe. Previously, Angelo served as an executive at OTIS Elevator where he led teams of increasing responsibility from Service Manager to General Manager and Regional Director. His last role at OTIS was the P&L business leader of OTIS North America’s central service hub. Managing nearly 500 employees across the national parts center, supply chain, PCB repair shop, service engineering, elevator software, modernization engineering and contract logistics, COMPASS Center of Excellence, and OTISLINE call center. Prior to joining Otis, Angelo served as a Signal Corps officer in the United States Army. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and received his commission from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Angelo held numerous jobs with increasing responsibility in the Army. As a 1LT in the 82d Airborne Division, he led 120+ paratroopers in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Forward Company Commander in the Signal Battalion. Later, he went back to West Point to serve as an Outreach Admissions officer for the Southeast region. He completed his career in the Army serving as a liaison for the Korean Army in Yong-In Korea. Angelo also received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan (Ross School of Business) where he focused on Marketing and Entrepreneurial studies. Upon graduating from Ross, Angelo worked at Johnson and Johnson as an Associate Brand Manager and helped to launch Johnson’s Baby into the Natural’s category. Angelo has been married to his beautiful wife Donna for 21 years, and they have 2 children, Jasmine and Isaiah. He enjoys traveling, coaching, and is an avid real estate investor.
