ACX Instruments is a life science instrument company and spinout from the University of Cambridge, headquartered in Cambridge, United Kingdom.
ACX Instruments focuses on active-matrix digital microfluidics (AM-DMF) platforms that enables high throughput and precise liquid handling of droplets.
Our technology enables the generation and manipulation of thousands of picoliter-to-nanoliter droplets on a single glass cartridge, allowing complex workflows, including single-cell isolation, NGS, and proteomics sample preparation to be performed entirely without pumps or traditional dispensing. Our product, the BOXmini™ SCP, integrates these steps into a fully automated, end-to-end platform that overcomes the traditional technical barriers of single-cell proteomics sample preparation.
Our Mission: To empower researchers with intuitive, high-throughput tools that deliver reproducible results and eliminating the manual bottlenecks of modern life sciences.
Our multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists is driven by a passion for advancing laboratory automation and microfluidic technology. We combine cutting-edge digital technology with user-friendly design so that researchers can focus on scientific challenges rather than tedious procedures.
