Mostafa has over 13 years of information security experience in file sharing, banking, finance, consulting, and online marketplaces. He holds a B.Sc in Computer Science (Loughborough), M.Sc. in Software and Systems Security (Oxford), and an Executive MBA (INSEAD). He also has various software and security certifications, and has onducted trainings in public and media relations as well as crisis management backed with extensive industry experience. Mostafa has played a pivotal role in establishing and developing the security practices and capabilities of Switzerland’s leading brands, such as Ricardo, Anibis, Tutti.ch, Homegate, Immoscout24, and Autoscout24. He has also contributed significantly to the security of Switzerland’s banking and finance industry, authoring security concepts, guidelines, technical standards, and overseeing their implementation and deployment. Mostafa is a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) an at the Swiss Cyber Institute. And as a renowned speaker, Mostafa has appeared at various industry conferences and events, sharing his expertise and approach towards modern cybersecurity. He also actively publishes research papers and articles in information security contributing to the broader community. Mostafa was awarded the Swiss Cybersecurity Excellence Award 2024. He is an elected Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Expert in Canton Zug, member of the Cybersecurity Committee of digitalswitzerland, member of Advisory Board at InfoSec Global. And as a Group CISO/CSO, he’s responsible for safeguarding the assets, digital safety of employees, and that of the customers at SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG.
