Monika Weber | Senior Advisor, Border Management and Security Programme
ICMPD

Monika is a Senior Advisor for Border Management and Security in ICMPD, providing expertise on IBM, document security and training of trainers in the Eastern Partnership countries, Central Asia, Silk Routes and Western Balkans, as well as the Sub-Saharan and West Africa. She holds two doctoral degrees, one in Criminal Law and second in Security Legal Studies. Monika has 28 years of professional experience in the field of immigration, police and border control.  The first 12 years of her career was spent with the Immigration and Border Police of the Czech Republic, and the latter 16 with ICMPD in various positions. Her portfolio ranges from border management, immigration issues and document security,  training of trainers, to asylum, combatting trafficking in human beings and gender in border management.
