Gino Schwengle, Project Manager, FHC Corp N.V.

As the Project Manager for AHOP (Aruba Happy One Pass), the Caribbean’s first advanced digital identity and seamless travel initiative, and with over 25 years of experience leading tourism related operations and innovation projects, Gino now spearheads the rollout of Aruba’s digital travel infrastructure, enabling biometric border crossings and verifiable credentials for frictionless, secure travel. Under his leadership, AHOP has become a model in the region, integrating Digital Travel Credentials (DTCs), mobile-based identity wallets, and live interoperability with IATA’s OneID framework. Gino has worked across public-private sectors to align government agencies, tourism boards, and global technology partners in building the future of travel; one that is secure, user-centric, economically sustainable, and environmentally responsible. Fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish, and Papiamento, Gino brings a unique perspective to digital identity in small island states and is currently guiding AHOP through its production phase with ambitions of linking digital identity, CO₂ accountability, and tourism innovation on an economically sustainable platform. Gino will share lessons from AHOP’s pilot programs and insight into how trusted identity platforms can drive real-world impact through seamless border experiences, data sovereignty, and sustainable travel.
