Anna-Liisa Tampuu | Biometrics Team Leader

Anna-Liisa currently works at the IT and Development Centre of the Ministry of the Interior of Estonia as the Biometrics Team Leader in the Identity Services Department. In 2022, Anna-Liisa gained experience in biometrics leading an innovation project at the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board (PBGB) development department’s identity and status bureau. The project was focused on the exploration of remote biometrics capture and verification for Estonia’s e-Residency programme. Anna-Liisa has over 11 years of international experience across the security sector. Previously, she worked and lived 12 years in the UK, gaining valuable experience as the head of intelligence and analysis for a global emergency assistance company in London. Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, in 2019, Anna-Liisa founded SheTravel, a platform focused on safe travel for women.
