GeoPlace and HAUC(UK): Supporting smarter, safer, more sustainable street and road works

GeoPlace, a joint venture between the Local Government Association and Ordnance Survey, works with local authorities to manage the UK’s authoritative street and address data. 

Together, we support better coordination through: 

• The National Street Gazetteer (NSG) and DataVia API 

• USRNs for street lifecycle and asset data 

• Support for permit schemes, lane rental, and traffic-sensitive streets 

• FindMyStreet – showing publicly maintainable streets 

• The HAUC(UK) App – your go-to tool for street works advice and on-site guidance 

• Collaboration with DfT, Geospatial Commission, TfL, JAG(UK) and regional HAUCs 

Together, we’re building a more efficient, coordinated, and sustainable street network for the UK.
