Tristan Thornburn | Project Manager
Orikan

Tristan Thornburn, Project Manager, Orikan

I'm a Project Manager with a background in biomedical engineering, technical analysis, and technology delivery. I currently work at Orikan in Melbourne, where I’ve progressed through several roles — from Technical Support and Implementation Consulting to Technical Business Analysis — before stepping into Project Management. This journey has given me a well-rounded understanding of both the technical and operational sides of project delivery within the parking technology industry, allowing me to effectively bridge the gap between development teams and stakeholders. I have studied a Master of Engineering (Biomedical with Business) from the University of Melbourne annd a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Griffith University. My studies combined technical problem-solving with business strategy, which has been instrumental in how I approach complex projects today. Additionally, I’ve completed my PRINCE2 certification, which I apply alongside Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks to ensure structured, transparent, and successful project outcomes. Over the years, I’ve been involved in delivering large-scale software and hardware implementations for councils and enterprise clients across Australia. I take pride in managing projects that improve operational efficiency, user experience, and long-term sustainability. I’m passionate about combining technology and strategy to deliver meaningful results — whether that’s through improving processes, driving collaboration, or leading initiatives that make a tangible impact.
