Joseph Tomkiewicz is a seasoned General Counsel with over 30 years of managerial, transactional and litigation experience in the world’s largest companies. He is currently advising clients on energy and legal issues. He was previously a Partner and Co-Chair of Energy Industry Team at Thailand’s oldest law firm, Tilleke & Gibbins. Prior to that he was a regional general counsel, director, and officer of several Chevron Corporation affiliates, based in Bangkok, Thailand, Lagos, Nigeria and Dhaka, Bangladesh and elsewhere. Prior to that he led a 250-member team responsible for the $85 billion merger of Exxon and Mobil, the largest industrial merger at that time. Was Acting General Counsel at two of Mobil’s largest overseas affiliates in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He has drafted, negotiated, and executed several billion dollars in contracts on oil, gas and chemical construction projects worldwide. He has tried and managed a wide variety of litigated matters including antitrust, construction, copyright, exploration and producing, labor, maritime, marketing, patent, and tort, with exposure to company in-excess of several hundred million dollars.
