Dr. Crizzle is an Associate Professor and Director of the Driving Research and Simulation Laboratory in the School of Public Health at the University of Saskatchewan. He is a road safety expert with a focus on mobility, fitness to drive and transportation. His projects have ranged from examining medically at-risk drivers including the use of screening and assessment tools, evaluating public transportation in urban and rural areas, pedestrian accidents, the driving behaviours of young drivers including the effects of alcohol and cannabis on driving performance, driver training, and the health and wellness of commercial motor vehicles. He also previously served on the board of directors for the Canadian Association of Road safety for 6 years. He has a strong track record in securing funding as PI, publishing in high-impact journals and working on international projects including those in Thailand.
