Amiene holds a Masters Degree from the University of Oregon, USA in Education and did further Green Business studies at both the Gordon Institute of Business Science and the UN Women Education Programme. As a social eco-preneur she is driven by a passion to address the twin scourges of poverty and gender-based violence. She founded the multiple award-winning The Green Cab as a vehicle to reverse the slide into further ecological debt whilst providing women with dignified livelihood opportunities. Her pioneering efforts has earned her multiple accolades and recognition as an industry expert in leading the green drive in the mobility sector in South Africa.
