Daniel Wiedmer is Unit Head for Greater Mekong Region at the Asian Development Bank. He is responsible for executing loans, guarantees and equity investments for private sector infrastructure projects, and for managing ADB’s infrastructure finance team based in Bangkok. He covers the renewable energy, conventional energy, water, transportation, environment and telecommunications sectors. Previously, he covered investments and loans in financial institutions and private equity funds. Before joining ADB, he worked for SECO, Switzerland, where he made investments in financial institutions and funds in Africa. Prior to joining SECO, he worked for AXA Group. He received a Master of Science in Development Management from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Kent Business School. He is a CFA Charterholder.
