My name is Vera Gameiro and I have been a kindergarten teacher at PaRK IS since 2017. Throughout my day I promote moments that meet the interests of children. Moments that stimulate curiosity, the search for exploration and promote consequent discoveries.

Being able to combine technology with these moments is not only an advantage, but also fundamental, in this digital era.

As a Tech Coach, I seek out and share with the team the benefit of all existing digital resources, from materials to applications. I believe that this type of tool stimulates children's motivation, interest and curiosity, contributing positively to the teaching-learning process of our students. Also as a colleague, I try to keep the team up-to-date so that they can use existing technological resources and applications in the most profitable way for managing their day, organizing and facilitating their work.

Show & Tell - The importance of EdTech in the early years

We will show how technology can enhance learning and engage children, while also addressing concerns about screen time and digital safety. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, participants will learn about the latest trends and best practices for incorporating technology into early childhood education. The examination of the role of educators in supporting children's development in a digital world and the importance of parent-teacher collaboration, will be explored as well. By the end of this session, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to effectively integrate EdTech into their early childhood education programs.
