I started my career as a secondary maths teacher and worked in a number of different schools. However I have always been passionate about pupils who have SEN and am keen to ensure they have access to the same education as their peers. Growing up I was fortunate to have access to a computer at home and from an early age saw the possibilities IT could give. At The Unicorn School I have championed the use of IT to support our pupils in their learning. We have introduced one to one devices throughout the school and last year became a Microsoft Showcase School.
We have seen pupils flourish by being able to use Assistive Technology in the classroom which has been lovely to see. Outside of school I enjoy supporting a local youth brass band and playing the tuba (badly!), walking my dog and reading when I get a chance.
