In my current role as vice dean, I am developing a distinct engagement model for lifelong learning at CBS. I am especially interested in intergenerational learning and in the exchange with learning environments within the business communities. This includes developing formats for innovative business school education and integrating the humanities and liberal arts in research and teaching at the business school.
In my research, I focus on institutional pathologies and the cultural history of malaise. In recent years, this interest has especially revolved around the affective dimensions of time and boredom in organizations. In my work, I often draw on philosophy and fiction and I have an especially keen interest in the horror genre. Currently, I am working on a project about strategy and myth, and on the notion of consolation in the era of the Anthropocene.
