Micha Pallesche was born in Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, in 1975. After studying at the University of Education in Karlsruhe, where his additional studies included media education, he worked for many years alongside his teaching profession as a consultant in school digitization processes for the State Media Center Baden-Württemberg. After serving as deputy principal, he took over overall management responsibility for the Ernst Reuter School in Karlsruhe in 2015. Under his leadership, the school developed into a nationally renowned and exemplary school with a multi-award-winning media education profile and received the Bitkom e.V. award as the first Smart School in Baden-Württemberg in 2017, and has since been appointed to the jury for the Bitkom e.V. award for other nationwide Smart Schools. In March 2022, Pallesche was awarded 1st place in the German Teachers' Award for "Exemplary School Leadership" by the Heraeus Foundation and the German Philologists' Association.
