With over 20 years of experience in school leadership and education, I am currently the Head of School at Sandnes International School an IB World School, we are a vibrant and diverse learning community. I hold a School District Administrator (SDA) certificate from the New York State Education Department, as well as a master's degree in Secondary Education and a certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard's Graduate School of Education and Business School.
As a constructivist educator and a systems thinker, I believe in student-centered learning, inquiry-based approaches, and proactive processes that foster growth, development, and flourishing for all individuals and schools. I have a deep appreciation for intellect, curiosity, and the pursuit of knowledge, as well as a passion for history, culture, and languages. I have received multiple scholarships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Korea Society to study and research various humanities topics in different countries. My adaptable nature and resilience enable me to thrive as both a team player and a team builder and to lead with positivity, compassion, and support.
