Marianthi Giannakopoulou holds a Med in Inclusive Education & Teaching Students with Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) (University of Birmingham, UK), a BA in English Language and Literature (National Kapodistrian University of Athens) and a BA in Social Work. She has been an English Language teacher since 1995 and has attended a number of seminars, lectures and workshops related to the field of Didactics. She holds the position of a learning specialist at Athens College Elementary School, where she has been designing and implementing the programme of differentiated instruction for students with LD since 2011. She has been running the Environmental Club in her school since 2017 and has been a member of the HSPN (Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature), national operator of the FEE (Federation for Environmental Education) and the ECO - Schools Committee in Greece since 2019. She holds a MA postgraduate diploma in Environmental Education and Sustainability (National Kapodistrian University of Athens). She is particularly interested in the problems that students with learning differences face in the mainstream classes but also in raising all students’ awareness on environmental issues.
