Darren Neethling, Director of Technology, Copenhagen International School

Hello, I'm Darren Neethling, the Director of Technology at Copenhagen International School, where I have the privilege of leading our community through the exciting intersection of education and technology. My journey began at the University of Pretoria, where I cultivated a deep passion for leveraging technology to enhance learning experiences. My career in educational technology took root in South Africa, where I embraced roles that allowed me to mentor and teach, laying the foundation for my commitment to digital fluency and citizenship. This path led me through innovative projects at Maragon Private Schools Olympus and Elkanah House School of Creative Learning, where I focused on integrating technology in ways that fundamentally transformed teaching and learning processes. In 2017, my professional adventure took me to Germany, where I served as the IT Director at the International School of Ulm/Neu-Ulm, further honing my skills in leading educational technology initiatives. Now, at Copenhagen International School, I oversee our technology strategy, ensuring that our infrastructure and digital tools support our comprehensive PYP, MYP, and DP programs. My role involves a constant balance between managing our extensive array of technology resources and pioneering projects that push the boundaries of how we engage with digital learning environments. My mission is to create a seamless blend of technology and education, fostering an environment where innovation enhances global learning outcomes. I am deeply committed to preparing our students and staff to navigate and thrive in a digitally fluent world, always exploring new ways to enrich our educational experiences through technology.
