Dr Caroline Varin is CEO and co-founder of the educational charity Professors Without Borders (Prowibo). She was senior lecturer in International Relations and International Law at Regent's University London for ten years, and has been an associate at LSE IDEAS since 2015. Caroline has published six books on international security, including Boko Haram and the War on Terror (Praeger) and Global Security in Times of Covid-19: Brave New World? (Palgrave). In 2017, Caroline founded the Think Tank for Professors Without Borders to enable free and transparent access to quality resources for all educators. She has since published a practical guide on Supporting Adult Learners through Games and Interactive Teaching (Routledge) and supported the creation of the the diamond access academic journal Higher Education Compass, which is hosted by Prowibo and the University of Johannesburg Press. Caroline is a serial innovator and champion for equitable access to quality education and is a frequent speaker on the education circuit.
