Dr Young Jung No is Associate Head of School (Education) and Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Sydney. An education leader and engineer, he specialises in authentic assessment, responsible uses of generative AI, personalised feedback, and industry-connected learning. He has led curriculum and assessment innovation across biomedical engineering and interdisciplinary engineering, including scalable oral vivas designed to strengthen learning, feedback and assessment integrity. His work combines classroom experimentation with educational scholarship, and he has published and presented nationally on authentic assessment and adapting education for generative AI. Young has held Faculty and School leadership roles spanning learning and teaching, governance and curriculum renewal, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He was named among the 40 Under 40 Most Influential Asian Australians in Education in 2022. At the heart of his work is a question: how can technology make education more human, meaningful and inclusive?
