Jayne Schinckel is the Digital Learning Specialist at St Hilda’s School on the Gold Coast, where she leads the strategic integration of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to enhance learning, teaching and student outcomes. Passionate about innovation in education, she works alongside staff to build AI capacity, develop ethical frameworks for generative AI and support the implementation of evidence-informed digital pedagogies across the school. Jayne recently completed the Global Action Research Collaborative Fellowship with the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools exploring how an AI-powered Socratic tutor can strengthen self-regulated learning, motivation, and student engagement. She has presented her working internationally and shared practical approaches to AI implementation with educators across Australia. Jayne is committed to bridging research and practice, empowering teachers to confidently embrace AI and equipping students with the skills to thrive in an increasingly technology rich world.
