Andrew Clayton is an EAL/D Education Leader with the NSW Department of Education, supporting teachers and school leaders across Regional South. He focuses on explicit language teaching, collaborative planning and building teacher capacity. Through partnerships with Environmental Education Centres, Andrew supports programs that build the field for newly arrived and emerging EAL/D learners, connecting preparation, excursions and classroom follow-up to strengthen participation, learning and belonging. His approach values students’ cultural backgrounds, experiences and existing knowledge.
