Dr. Jerrylyn B. Magbuo is the Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education at FAITH Colleges in the Philippines and a researcher, teacher educator, and international speaker specializing in communication education, AI integration, and future-ready learning design. Her work bridges the fields of humanities, teacher education, and educational technology through innovative, human-centered approaches to teaching and learning. She is the creator of the Human Library Project, an empathy-driven communication pedagogy that immerses students in conversations with underrepresented and marginalized individuals to develop authentic communication competence, critical reflection, and social awareness. The project has since evolved into both instructional and research initiatives exploring transformative learning and AI-augmented communication experiences. Beyond classroom innovation, Dr. Magbuo has designed and delivered teacher-training modules across the Philippines and abroad focusing on artificial intelligence in education, bridging learning gaps, digital playlist design, and future-ready classroom practices. Her training engagements support educators in integrating technology while maintaining instructional integrity and meaningful human connection in learning environments. She has spoken at international conferences such as BETT Asia, where she served as part of a plenary panel discussing educational leadership, technology integration, and the evolving role of educators in the age of AI. Her current work continues to focus on preparing teachers and institutions for rapidly changing educational landscapes through ethical, creative, and research-informed innovation. Grounded in the philosophy of the FAITH Colleges, Dr. Magbuo believes that innovation should never move away from humanity.
