PJ Rivera is the Vice President of Planning and Services for The Americas. In this role, PJ leads Strategic Planning, Business Transformation and Field Performance, Communications, Events, and Associate Recognition, supporting ~5,300 hotels that span the U.S., Canada, Caribbean, and Latin America.
PJ has led multiple BMSC Americas transformation and strategy efforts and served as the global Project Manager for “The Big 4 Integration” Change Management and Deployment Team. In addition to standing up and now leading the BMSC Americas Planning and Services organization, PJ leads global brand portfolio strategy planning, in support of the Global Brand organization under Tina Edmundson.
Prior to joining Marriott, PJ was an executive at Deloitte, where he managed a diverse portfolio of strategy and human capital consulting projects, and over 80 employees globally. He was also the founding Operations Leader for Deloitte’s public sector think tank and innovation center, GovLab.
Before PJ’s time at Deloitte, he served as the human capital strategy lead for a multi-billion-dollar organization. Additionally, as a consultant, PJ has provided coaching, training, and consulting services to over two dozen public and private organizations. PJ is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) with a master’s from George Mason University and a bachelor’s from Florida International University.
