Willy Boulter is a distinguished senior aviation executive with more than 35 years of global airline industry experience. Born in Singapore and a UK/Irish national, he has built an exceptional career spanning commercial leadership roles across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia, establishing a reputation as a transformative leader with deep cross-cultural expertise and an ability to drive performance in complex, competitive environments. Throughout his career, Willy has built expertise across all commercial disciplines, including sales, revenue management, network and fleet planning, alliances and international relations, cargo, digital, loyalty, marketing, and regional management. He spent the first twenty years of his career at Cathay Pacific Airways before joining South African Airways and becoming EVP Alliances and International: he subsequently served as Group Commercial Director at Virgin Atlantic Airways, where he played a pivotal role in the airline’s 50% growth and profitability between 2003 and 2008. He has held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Gulf Air, Jet Airways, and TAAG Angola Airlines, where, as a Board Director appointed under the Emirates and Angolan Government management agreement, he helped execute a remarkable commercial turnaround that reduced the airline’s annual losses from $175 million to near break-even within a single year. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Sky Express, Russia’s first low-cost carrier, and as Chief Commercial Officer of IndiGo, India’s largest airline, where he held responsibility for a broad commercial portfolio encompassing international sales, cargo, digital platforms, loyalty, and marketing, during a period of significant international expansion for the carrier. After retiring from IndiGo in 2022, Willy has continued to engage with the aviation industry in an advisory capacity, drawing on his wealth of commercial and operational experience to support airlines and aviation-related businesses navigating complex challenges. Most recently, he has joined the Board of Advisors of Rezolv, bringing his deep industry expertise to bear in shaping the company’s strategic direction.
