Hong Wong, Director General, Association of Asia Pacific Airlines

Mr. Wong Hong joined Association of Asia Pacific Airlines in April 2026.
With over 22 years of international aviation experience, Wong Hong has held senior 
commercial roles in alliances, network planning, revenue management and sales at Singapore 
Airlines and Delta Air Lines. In 2016, he held the position of Delta Air Lines’ President – China 
based in Shanghai, leading the carrier’s growth in the China market through a close 
partnership with China Eastern Airlines. He brings extensive overseas experience having 
been based in China, India, Thailand and Vietnam with Singapore Airlines.
Wong Hong’s work experience also includes SATS in 2012, a leading service provider for the 
aviation industry, where he served as Executive Vice President of both Gateway Services and 
Food Solutions businesses during his stint with the company.
Prior to SATS, Wong Hong was Regional Director, Asia Pacific for Industry Distribution & 
Financial Services at the International Air Transport Association (IATA). He was responsible 
for managing IATA’s airline settlement systems and its accreditation program covering 
passenger and cargo agents across the Asia Pacific region.
Previous to his position at IATA, he also spent three years as Vice President with MasterCard 
International for the Southeast Asia region.
Wong Hong holds a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the National 
University of Singapore. He is also a member of the Harvard Business School alumni.
