Dr. Aliah Mohammed Abuammah Alharbi, PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Research Scientist in Cardiovascular Sciences at King Saud University. She holds a PhD from Imperial College London (Medicine & Bioengineering) and is a pioneering Saudi biomedical innovator. Dr. Aliah holds 12 national and international patents covering medical imaging, functional genomics, and gene delivery technologies. She is the inventor of IntraSight™, a real-time coronary blood flow imaging system used during open-heart surgery, and the creator of GeneLight™ and NanoThru™ platforms for high-throughput gene editing and drug discovery. Her work bridges engineering, clinical medicine, and entrepreneurship to deliver real impact for patients.
