Head of Clinical Pathology Department & Business Development Manager, EXPRESSMED Diagnostics & Research Dr. Ahmed Shaker is a clinical pathology leader with more than two decades of experience in diagnostic laboratory operations, quality management, and clinical service development across the GCC and Egypt. He currently serves as Head of the Clinical Pathology Department and Business Development Manager at EXPRESSMED Diagnostics & Research in Bahrain, where he oversees diagnostic services, laboratory performance, and strategic growth initiatives. Before joining EXPRESSMED, he held senior roles at Arabian Gulf University, serving as Laboratory Manager at UMC – King Abdullah Medical City and Assistant Laboratory Director for the newborn screening program at the Princess Al Jawhara Center for Molecular Medicine. His experience also includes leading JCI-accredited laboratory operations as Laboratory Director and South Area Manager at Al Borg Medical Laboratories in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Ahmed began his career with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population as a Clinical Pathology Resident and later gained clinical experience at the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University. His work combines deep technical expertise with strong operational leadership, supporting high-quality diagnostics and improved patient outcomes across the region.
