Faisal Abbas’s research focusses on Robotics, Automation, Control, and Instrumentation. He has done his Bachelors (2014) and Masters (2017) in Electrical Engineering from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences where he also worked as Associate Lecturer for four years. Faisal secured Vice Chancellor’s Award in 2018 from University of Kent which allowed him to study mass flow measurement of pneumatically conveyed particles through data-driven modelling in his PhD (2022) in Electronic Engineering. Faisal has worked on several projects related to Robotics, Automation and Control including an award-winning project titled omni-directional fully autonomous firefighting robot. Based on his expertise and skillset, he started working as postdoctoral research associate at Centre for Continuous Manufacturing and Advanced Crystallization, University of Strathclyde on the UKRI project Made Smarter Innovation | Digital Medicines Manufacturing (DM²), for the development of automated microscale medicine manufacturing system. Currently, he is working in CMAC as Automation Research Research Fellow on EPSRC project Mediforge.
