Gcobisa is a enthusiastic ,skilled and experienced professional, she holds a National Diploma in Food Technology, a BTech in Quality Management, and an Honours Degree in Railway Operations Management. Joining Transnet in year 2012 as a Train Control Officer in the Cape and Iron Ore Corridors, Gcobisa swiftly advanced to roles such as Section Manager in the coal line  and, currently, as a Train Control Manager in the Central Corridor. With over 13 years of rail safety and operational excellence, she has co-ordinated  strategic meteorological projects within the organisation , completed the Young Leaders Programme. Additionally, she contributed to industry initiatives like the South African Heavy Haul Association (SAHHA)  as an abstract reviewer, presented in the Rail Safety Regulator (RSR) Safety Conference and at the Transnet Global Knowledge Sharing Conference through Glasgow Caledonian University in year 2024.
