Carlos Fernando Bambo Nhangou age 75 is the Chairman of Mozambique Ports and Railways Regulator, and Former Mechanical Engineer of Mozambique Ports and Railways. Along the 50 years of work at CFM, Bambo assumed the posts of Chief Engineer of the Maputo Port (81 - 85), Port Director of Nacala Port (85-90), Director of the Maputo Port (90-95), Executive Director of CFM South (97-2004) and Advisor of the Board (2004-2018). Bambo holds Professional Training Course Certificates in, Intermediate Management Course, from the IIM-INDIA; Regulation and Organization of Transport of Goods by Sea, by Traimar; Chief Executives of Public Companies (CEO), from the National University of Singapore. Port Management and Planning, by IPPPM at the University of New Orleans; Management and Implementation of Privatization, by INTRADOS, at George Washington University. Development of Dry Ports, by UNCTAD – Botswana, Facilitation of Means of Maritime Transport by IMO, in Maputo; Port Management and Operation, by Mersey Docks and Harbor Company in Liverpool, Port Administration and Operations, from the UWIST in Cardiff (Wales). Bambo participated in the following projects: the Ressano Garcia Railway Privatization; Rehabilitation of the Limpopo Line after the floods in the year 2000; Privatization of Tertiary Ports, Roc 2; Privatization of the Port of Maputo Container Terminal; Maputo Port Master Plan Definition of business plans and strategy. Engineer Bambo also occupied the positions of Non-Executive Director of MIPS (Container Terminal), and Cabotage Terminal at Maputo Port.
