Stephan Kadauke, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Associate Director of the Cell-Based Therapy Laboratory (CBTL) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. A board-certified transfusion-medicine specialist, he oversees GMP manufacturing and release for more than 60 active cell- and gene-therapy trials spanning CAR-T, hemoglobin-editing, and virus-specific T-cell platforms. Stephan also directs Cell & Gene Therapy Informatics at Penn/CHOP, where his agile team builds decision-support and quality-automation tools that shorten the path from bench to bedside. His research centers on making advanced therapies safer, less expensive, and globally accessible through process innovation, scalable analytics, and collaborative training programs. At Advanced Therapies 2025 he will share practical lessons from integrating AI-enabled manufacturing control with bedside apheresis to streamline first-in-human studies in Philadelphia and beyond.
