  Frederic Bushman is the W. M. Measey Professor and Chair of Microbiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bushman received his bachelor’s degree fromAmherst College, and his PhD from Harvard University. His research centers on genomics of host/microbe interactions, with specific projects on human genome modification, the human virome,coronaviruses, and HIV.  Dr. Bushman has published over 400research papers, which have been cited over 130,000 times.
