Prior to joining the public service, Rania gained valuable industry experience in the private sector. Motivated by a growing interest in public health and regulatory science, she transitioned to Health Canada, where she has held progressively senior roles across assessment, program management, and strategic policy development. Her work has encompassed both pre-market evaluation and post-market surveillance, providing her with a comprehensive perspective on the full lifecycle of health product oversight. As the Executive Director at Health Canada, Rania oversees strategic planning and implementation of various initiatves to enhance patient safety and improve healthcare outcomes.
Rania Mouchantaf holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology, as well as a Doctorate in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from McGill University.
