Reema Mehta, PharmD, MPH is Vice President, Head of Risk Assessment & Management (RAM) at Pfizer Inc., where she leads the strategic integration of risk assessment across the product lifecycle, including risk communication, minimization strategies, signal detection and management, safety data mining, and post-approval pharmacoepidemiology studies. She plays an important role in shaping Pfizer’s benefit-risk strategy through structured frameworks, governance support, and global training initiatives. Dr. Mehta is also a key contributor to Johns Hopkins Univeristy's BeSafe program, a global initiative aimed at combating substandard and falsified medicines through education and stakeholder collaboration. Prior to joining Pfizer, she served as Deputy Division Director at the FDA’s Division of Risk Management and as the industry representative on the FDA Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee (2019–2023). She holds a BS and Doctor of Pharmacy from Rutgers University and an MPH from Johns Hopkins University, and has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Florida and Rutgers University.
