Alexander Cohen, Post-Doctoral Scholar, Division of Biology and Biological Engineering,, California Institute of Technology

Dr. Alexander Cohen is a postdoctoral scholar in the Bjorkman lab at Caltech which is also where he received his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (2021). His graduate and postdoctoral work have focused mainly on the development of a mosaic nanoparticle vaccination strategy for SARS-like betacoronaviruses (sarbecoviruses) and influenza, as a way of eliciting broad antibody responses targeting conserved epitopes. Dr. Cohen is currently one of the lead scientists in a CEPI-funded consortium of Caltech, Oxford (UoO), Ingenza (ING), and CPI focused on the clinical development of the mosaic RBD nanoparticle candidate as a pan-sarbecovirus vaccine
