Gavin Lewis | Head of UK Institutional Distribution

Gavin Lewis is Head of UK Institutional Distribution. He joined Vanguard in 2016 and is responsible for the growth of Vanguard UK’s Institutional and Wholesale business encompassing European Consultant Relations, Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Not for Profit, Insurance and Financial Institution market segments.
 
Gavin has also held the positions of Head of European Consultant Relations and Head of UK Retirement.  Before joining Vanguard, Gavin held the position of executive director at UBS Asset Management, where he led business development for the UK institutional market. Prior to this he held positions at Russell Investments and Fund Building Ltd where he developed business for a range of traditional and alternative asset classes in the UK and Europe.
 
Gavin is a member of the asset management industry Diversity Project Steering Committee, he co-leads leads the initiative’s ethnicity workstream and is a co-founder and member of the Vanguard Europe Diversity and Inclusion council.
 
Gavin holds a BA in history and politics from the University of London and holds the CISI Certificate of Investment Management.
