Wing K. Lee is the CEO of YTL Communications, where he leads the company’s mission to provide high-quality, innovative mobile internet services across Malaysia. Since joining in 2009, he has overseen the launch of Yes 4G, the world’s first nationwide converged 4G network, and more recently, Malaysia’s first commercial 5G service.

Before joining YTL Communications, Wing held senior leadership roles at Sprint and Clearwire in the United States. He played a key role in launching the first large-scale Mobile WiMAX network globally and led pioneering work in mobile innovation, including platforms for mobile advertising, payments, content delivery, and behavioral analytics. At Sprint, he also served as Chief Technologist and Director of Enterprise Architecture, contributing to the development of the company’s nationwide high-speed wireless and optical fiber networks.

Wing holds 33 U.S. patents, along with patents in Singapore and South Korea. His contributions to the industry have earned him numerous accolades, including Sprint’s highest honors in technology leadership and management, and recognition as Asian American Engineer of the Year in 2002.

He holds a degree in Information Systems from The University of Texas at Austin and has completed executive education at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
