Sarath Kumar is the Chief Technology Officer at ACT Fibernet, where he leads the company’s technology strategy, network architecture, and product innovation initiatives. He has more than two decades of experience in telecommunications, product engineering, and network technologies.

Before joining ACT Fibernet in 2022, Sarath spent 14 years at Tejas Networks, where he held leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Product Management. At Tejas, he led the Ethernet Product Development Group and was responsible for developing and managing the company’s Packet Optical Transport and Carrier Ethernet product portfolios. He played a key role in defining product roadmaps, driving competitive analysis, and supporting global sales and marketing initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Sarath worked at Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies as a Member of Technical Staff, contributing to high-speed data over wireless networks and telecommunications standards development.

Sarath holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Technology from IIT Bombay, and a Bachelor of Technology from IIT Kanpur.
