Roshan Dayarathne | General Manager

Roshan Dayarathne is the General Manager at Sri Lanka Telecom, with over 19 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He oversees operations for FTTH, 4G, IPTV, and copper networks, as well as network planning and project implementation. His role also includes providing telecom infrastructure and digitalisation  solutions  for enterprise customers.

Throughout his career at Sri Lanka Telecom, he has held key positions, including Deputy General Manager and Regional Telecom Manager, where he contributed to the expansion and modernization of the company’s telecom infrastructure. Prior to joining Sri Lanka Telecom, he worked as an Optical Fiber Transmission Engineer at Saudi Telecom Company and a Cellular Network Planning Engineer at Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd.

Beyond telecommunications, Roshan has experience in transportation and urban development, having served as a Director at the State Development & Construction Corporation and the Urban Development Authority of Sri Lanka. He was also CEO of Talentfort Pvt Ltd, focusing on telecommunications and software development.

Roshan holds a B.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and an MBA from the Commonwealth of Learning. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Certified Solution Architect, and holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
