Ali Masood is the Head of Asia Portfolio Development and Growth at Telenor Asia, where he is responsible for driving regional growth initiatives, developing commercial strategy, and supporting business performance across the company’s Asian markets. Based in Singapore, his work includes group-wide leadership on pricing, segmentation, digital acceleration, and portfolio optimisation.
Ali brings over 18 years of international experience across the telecommunications, government, and digital sectors, with a focus on commercial strategy, pricing, marketing, and product development. Prior to rejoining Telenor in 2024, he served as Managing Consultant at Detecon Asia-Pacific, and held leadership roles at the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General and Rogers Communications, where he led enterprise pricing and commercial strategy in Canada.
Ali previously held several senior roles at Telenor from 2006 to 2016, including SVP of Product and Digital Services and VP of Marketing Strategy at Telenor Myanmar, and roles in pricing and market strategy in Norway and Pakistan.
He holds an MSc in International Management from Oxford Brookes University, a BS in Computer Science from Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, and has completed the Accelerate Leadership Program at London Business School.
