Selorm Adadevoh, Chief Executive Officer, MTN

Selorm is the chief executive officer of MTN, Ghana, appointed in June 2018. Prior to this, he was the chief executive officer of Digicel, Haiti. Selorm is a seasoned telecoms and financial services business leader with over 22 years of experience spanning several years in the UK, USA, Caribbean and Africa. In addition to extensive C-level telecoms experience across various operators, Selorm has over 10 years of consulting experience. First, as a technology consultant for HewlettPackard (HP) Consulting in the UK, and in the USA, as a management consultant for L.E.K. Consulting where he focused on mergers & acquisitions and private equity consulting projects. Since joining MTN, Selorm has been instrumental in consolidating MTN Ghana’s market leadership position and driving new growth opportunities in Digital, Fintech, Home and Data more broadly. In his time as CEO, MTN Ghana has entrenched itself as the leader in customer experience and innovation in the Ghana telecoms industry, the launch of 4G+ and VoLTE, the relaunch of MyMTN app, launch of the Ayoba super app and the launch of a Fintech Open API platform to commence the journey towards MTN’s Ambition 2025. Selorm was honored at the 5 th Ghana CEO Summit in May 2021 as the “CEO of the Year for the Telecommunications Sector”. He was also adjudged the “Industry Personality of the Year 2020” and “The 2019 Telecoms CEO of the Year” by Ghana Information Technology and Telecommunications Awards (GITTA). Selorm’s contributions to MTN Group has also been recognized with his recent award as the joint “CEO of the Year 2019”. These recognitions reinforce Selorm’s leadership since joining MTN Ghana. Selorm is a member of the African Leadership Network (ALN) and a lifetime supporter of Liverpool FC. He holds an MBA in finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana.
