Glen Wegel is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and distribution. As Vice President of Operations & IT at Kitchen Cabinet Distributors (KCD), Glen oversees logistics, transportation, domestic manufacturing, information technology, and environmental health and safety. His career reflects a consistent drive for operational excellence and strategic growth in high-performance environments. Since joining KCD in 2018, Glen has spearheaded the company’s evolution, leading a 1,200% growth through talent development, expanding distribution networks, and leveraging advanced technology. His expertise includes designing and constructing distribution centers, implementing scalable processes, and integrating 3PL partnerships to meet rapidly evolving market demands. His commitment to education extends beyond corporate initiatives. Glen was an Adjunct Professor of Business at ITT Technical Institute, where he taught advanced business and supply chain principles, mentoring future professionals in the field. Glen also contributed to advancing the logistics profession through his role in creating the Distribution Logistics Education Program, a micro-credentialing initiative developed in collaboration with the Warehouse Education and Research Council (WERC). This program supports the development of warehouse and distribution center leaders by bridging skills gaps and fostering professional growth. Glen serves on WERC's Advisory Council, further solidifying his impact on industry standards and education. Prior to joining KCD, Glen served as Plant Manager at DAP Products and held key leadership roles at HD Supply (a Home Depot Company) and Lowe’s Home Improvement, where he spearheaded initiatives that delivered transformative operational efficiencies. His 15-year tenure in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve as a logistics officer provided the foundation for his reputation for excellence in supply chain and warehouse management. Glen commanded in Afghanistan, where he successfully managed complex supply chains and warehouse operations in austere and high stakes combat environments. His leadership ensured the timely delivery of critical supplies, equipment, and resources, directly supporting mission success and enhancing operational readiness under extraordinary conditions. Glen holds an MBA from Liberty University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with additional certifications in Lean and ISO. Glen is a U.S. patent holder and multi-year recipient of the Supply & Demand Chain Executive Pro-to-Know award, Glen’s innovative contributions are widely recognized in the industry. At Home Delivery World and the Middle Mile 2025, Glen will speak on two panels: "Efficiency Unboxed: Strategic Warehouse Operations" and "Geography 101: Planning for Optimum Warehouse Networks." Drawing from his extensive experience, Glen will provide insights into operational strategy, technology integration, and network optimization to inspire transformative solutions for modern supply chain challenges.
