Since two years, Francois leads the Biologics Analytical Characterization Mass Spectrometry group within Technical Research & Development at Novartis Pharma AG located in Basel, Switzerland. His group focuses on the characterization of novel biologics entities as well as their degradation pathways, and the development of Mass Spectrometry tools, encompassing native MS, middle-down MS, peptide mapping, glycan characterization, Multi-Attribute Method, and HCP-MS analytics. He joined Novartis as a Post-Doc in 2014 then worked as a Principal Scientist and Fellow before his current position. Francois gained experience in the development of various bioanalytical techniques and MS methods through previous roles at Pierre Fabre, Merck Serono and Actelion. He holds a PhD in Leukemia proteomics and Post-Doctoral work in brain cancer proteomics at The University of Manchester, UK, and an MSc in Biotechnology from the Institut National Polytechnique de Bordeaux, France.
