Carina Schey has many years of both pharmaceutical industry and clinical pharmacy experience. With a doctorate awarded by the University of Groningen, Carina’s experience span across the healthcare ecosystem, clinical development, health technology assessment, and reimbursement strategy. After years of working on evidence generation and value assessment to support market access decisions, Carina now focuses on applying this expertise to areas of high unmet need. Carina works closely with organizations that serve people living with rare conditions, supporting more effective evidence strategies to improve access to treatments. In parallel, she is actively engaged in raising awareness of antimicrobial resistance, advocating for economic and policy approaches that better reflect its long-term societal impact. A core focus of Carina’s work is reviewing the drug journey from early concept through to market access, identifying where development, endpoint selection, and evidence planning can be better aligned with reimbursement requirements. Through this end-to-end perspective, Carina aims to help ensure that scientific innovation translates into sustainable access for patients. Carina has many publications to her name and is a regular speaker at conferences. In addition to being an international speaker, she moderates at many conferences and is a Speaker Coach for TEDx events. Carina sits on the scientific advisory panels for several charities, and as non-executive director for healthcare organisations.
