Dr. Zhao has almost 20 years of experience in biomarker research and drug development in both academic and industry settings. She earned her Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Oslo, Norway, with a focus on breast cancer genomics. During her post-doctoral training at Stanford University, she expanded her research into pan-cancer multi-omics. Later, she joined Gilead, Inc. as a principal investigator for translational studies in internal clinical trials under the oncology and immunology portfolio. Currently, Dr. Zhao leads the Research and Development team in Oncology Bioinformatics at AbbVie.
